Sloan Bruan Lorenzini, PhD, LCSW, QS
Owner and Clinical Director
“I believe everyone deserves to feel understood, valued, and equipped with tools to navigate life's challenges. My approach combines professional expertise with genuine care, creating a space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. A diagnosis does not define who you are – it is simply information that helps us work together more effectively.”
“My path to becoming a therapist was anything but traditional. After 15 years as a Wall Street executive, I discovered my true calling: helping others overcome challenges and build resilience. This unique background allows me to understand both the pressures of high-achievement environments and the universal human need for connection and support.
My clinical training began with a Master of Social Work from Barry University, where I developed the therapeutic skills needed to serve clients as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Supervisor. I then pursued a PhD in Social Welfare from Florida International University, focusing my research on stress, needs, and coping, with special emphasis on supporting parents of individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders. This dual foundation—clinical practice and rigorous research—allows me to bring both evidence-based approaches and genuine therapeutic connection to every client interaction.”
“Having worked with thousands of individuals across the spectrum of mental health and developmental differences, I have learned that cookie-cutter approaches do not work. Each person brings their own strengths, challenges, and life experiences. I see neurodivergent traits not as deficits to fix, but as variations in human experience that deserve respect and understanding.
My years in business taught me the importance of practical, results-oriented solutions. In therapy, this translates to helping you develop real-world strategies that actually work in your daily life – not just theories that sound good in the office.”

“Living in Miami for over 20 years, I have come to appreciate the rich diversity of our community. When I am not in the office, you might find me exploring local parks, practicing mindfulness by the water, or spending time with my family. These experiences ground me and remind me daily of the importance of balance, connection, and finding joy in life's simple moments.”
